20th Annual Dorset Business Awards Return This November

The closing date for this year’s Dorset Business Awards is fast approaching, this year’s cut-off for entrants is Friday September 12th. 

The annual awards celebrate the best and brightest local businesses in Dorset.

Scores of companies have already signed up to compete across all ten categories of the Awards which are organised by the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry and sponsored by the Daily Echo and Dorset Echo.

The categories include the Business Engagement with the Community award, where local businesses must be able to demonstrate initiatives they have introduced in the local community, and also the Nuffield Health Excellence in Customer Service Award and the Excellence in Innovation Award.

The current title-holder of the Nuffield Health Excellence in Customer Service Award, the Poole Harbour Commissioners (PHC) were very proud to be a part of the Awards.

Jim Stewart, chief executive of PHC, said: “Winning this award has given us the confidence to move forward positively in 2014.

“The Dorset Business Awards has given PHC the exposure that money just can’t buy.

“We’ve had plenty of media coverage, and as a result have been contacted by many suppliers and customers with messages of congratulations.”

After the closing date, a rigorous judging process will select a shortlist of finalists and the ultimate winners will be unveiled in front of 700 people at the Bournemouth International Centre on Thursday November 27.

The awards are free to enter with local business from all around Dorset competing in the ten different categories.

The awards are open to any company which has a BH/DT postcode or is based in Dorset.

Businesses can enter themselves, or be nominated by customers, clients or suppliers but the business needs to submit the final the entry form.
